ETPS 1000- New updated units for therapy

26 Apr

The ETPS 1000 is a wonderful tool to use in your therapy session to help stimulate the flow of movement throughout your body by releasing pain relieving endorphins. Science has long known that a special form of low frequency DC electrical stimulation applied to these same points just as in traditional needling can reproduce the endorphin response.
Secondly, the ETPS 1000 releases or relaxes contracted and spastic muscles. One approach to pain management, called the neuropathic pain model, suggests that tightened/contracted muscles cause mechanical/structural asymmetry and nerve entrapment throughout the body. This asymmetry not only strains the body’s movement and mechanics, but the resulting nerve entrapment place the pathways in a hypersensitive state, causing an amplification of pain response for the suffering person. The theory suggests this amplification of neural sensation, called “denervation super sensitivity” accompanied with the subsequent muscle contraction(s), may now be the primary physiological basis of many chronic pain syndromes.
Finally, the ETPS unit itself has the ability to either increase or decrease the amount of circulation in the area of injury. To decrease the circulation would be similar to ice therapy and is most beneficial for pain control and reduction of swelling. To increase would be similar to heat therapy and is most beneficial for immune enhancement and neural regeneration. Helping to decrease or increase the blood flow to the area greatly contributes to the natural healing process.
The ETPS 1000 is the ONLY hand held device on the market that duplicates these parameters. Chronic back pain conditions, tension or migraine headaches, fibromyalgia, carpal tunnel syndrome and many other painful conditions respond wonderfully with this approach to pain management. These three therapeutic responses offered by the ETPS 1000 will continue to provide pain free days to thousands of chronic pain sufferers. Healing Roots is proud to announce that Tausha Luttrell PDMT, has received training in the use of E.T.P.S. Therapy for relieving chronic pain symptoms. E.T.P.S. stands for Electro Therapeutic Point Stimulation (Neuro-Mechanical Acupuncture).

This therapy was created in Canada by its founder Bruce R. Hocking, Doctor of Acupuncture, M.D.M.A., who has won International awards with his expertise in the field of acupuncture, and is taught here in the United States in workshops throughout the year. E.T.P.S. is a non-invasive therapy, and combines the principles of acupuncture & neurology with micro-current stimulation. It produces a stimulation which calms your nervous system and relaxes your muscles. It also releases endorphins, natural pain killers and relieves pressed nerves by relaxing your contracted muscles. Around the world, E.T.P.S.  is successfully helping many people control their pain levels and resume normal functioning in their lives again!

Chronic back pain. Repetitive strain injuries. Tension headaches or migraines. Fibromyalgia. Carpal tunnel. These are just a few of the many conditions that respond well to E.T.P.S. pain management.

Although E.T.P.S. Therapy is safe and effective for most of the adult population, it is NOT suggested for the following groups of people:

* pregnant women

* cancer patients

* individuals with epilepsy

* individuals who have a pacemaker

Please notify your therapist of any of these conditions.
